HOW DO WE BECOME A MEMBER?
EPC membership is available to all public school boards of education, educational service centers, public boards of mental retardation and such chartered non-public schools as are organized as non-profit entities who are located in Ohio. Affiliate membership is open to entities outside Southwestern Ohio provided such program is not offered by the consortium in which they are a member and provided their consortium is a member of the Ohio Council of Educational Purchasing Consortia.
The EPC currently serves 260+ member school districts/organizations in 41 counties of Ohio and 2 in Kentucky. We solicit bids for educational-related products/services and provide them to each of our members for voluntary participation.
Products & Services include: Air Filters, Audio Visual/Technology Products, Automated External Defibrillators (AED’s), Carpet Tiles, Classroom & Office Supplies, Copy Paper, Custodial/Facility Supplies, Design Build & Performance Contracting Services, Disinfection as a Service, Drug & Alcohol Testing, Federal (USDA) Food Commodity Program, Food Service (includes Bakery, Dairy, Food Products, Ice Cream, Produce, Kitchen Equipment, Paper/Plastics and Small Wares), Furniture (Offices & Classrooms), LED Lighting & Energy Savings Programs, Liability Fleet & Property Insurances, Library Books, Medical/Clinic Supplies, Paints, Passenger Vans, Pickup Trucks, Public Surplus, School Buses, School Bus Cameras, Security Cameras, Transportation Supplies and Utilities (Electricity & Natural Gas). In addition to these areas we offer Medical, Dental, Vision and Life insurance programs.
The EPC also has an affiliate membership with the AEPA (Association of Educational Purchasing Agencies) that brings additional areas of discounted pricing which include: Athletic Equipment & Supplies, Athletic Field Turf & Surfacing, Athletic & Recreational Lighting, Carpet & Resilient Flooring, Copiers & Related Services, Custodial Equipment & Supplies Catalog, Digital Display Solutions, Digital Resources & Instructional Materials, Disaster Recovery Remediation Services, E-Rate Consulting Services, Facility Management Software, Furniture Catalog, Hardwood & Synthetic Flooring, HVAC Systems, Industrial Arts & Career Tech Supplies Catalog, Lawn & Grounds Keeping Equipment & Supplies, LED Lighting, Maintenance Repair & Operations, Mobile/Cellular Connectivity Solutions, Office Supplies & Equipment, Playground Recreational Structures, Roofing & Related Services, School & Instructional Supply Catalog, Security Solutions, Synthetic Turf & Court Surfaces, Technology Catalog and Vehicles.
The Membership year runs from July 1st to June 30th. Starting with the 2016-2017 School year we began waiving EPC Membership Fees. So there is zero cost to join the EPC.
If you would like to become a member of the EPC please send us a letter requesting membership on your school letterhead. (You are welcome to send the electronic version to us via email at Robin.Houston@epcschools.org). Your request for membership will be brought before the EPC Executive Board for official approval at their next meeting, however you may begin using our programs immediately after receipt of your letter. A welcome letter will be sent out after approval.
